Business Development Logistics

We constantly challenge the status quo.

We develop, expand and manage AUTO1’s global logistics network consisting of more than 200 logistics partners. We build and customize logistics solutions to address the needs of different AUTO1 customers - be it a private person buying single car from AutoHero in the Netherlands, a small Spanish merchant buying ten cars per month from Sweden or a big German car group buying hundreds of cars per month from all over Europe. By connecting a variety of stakeholders through a seamless and flexible flow of information and providing an easy-to-use interface to each of our different customer groups, we bring a superior e-commerce experience to the used-car market. We anticipate the dynamics of the logistics market and create opportunities in a turbulent market by applying an entrepreneurial approach, flexible long-term planning, and result-driven execution. We constantly challenge the status quo and see ourselves as a driver of change in the market.

Controlling Logistics

We monitor the relationship between quality, costs and customer satisfaction and aim to optimize all three by providing decision recommendations based on historical data. Our detail-oriented mindset allows us to deep-dive in internal and external processes, identify potential for improvement, and leverage our findings to pave the way for operational excellence. Our work involves communication with internal and external partners, establishing controlling standards, ensuring process compliance, setting up and monitoring controlling-related KPIs and identifying cost saving potentials across the supply chain. We improve and develop tools to ensure efficiency and allow for extensive reporting which provides a solid foundation for the continuous and sustainable growth of our business.

Invoicing Operations

If sales is the engine of AUTO1, we're the transmission!

We handle operational processes related to auctions and invoicing for the entire European market. We are responsible for ensuring that things run smoothly and have multiple touchpoints with local Operations and Sales teams in our day-to-day work. We generate reports in order to keep a close eye on the performance of European Operations whilst aiming for flawless operations by stepping in to solve problems and improve processes where we can. Whenever there is a new process or product rolled out, we lend a hand to ensure everything works well - our contribution to AUTO1s constant growth and improvement. Our team is well-known for its flat structure and our diverse cultural backgrounds that work together in a friendly and supportive environment.

Transport Operations

Some people would call our workstyle scrupulous, we call it attention to detail!

In Transport Operations we play a key role in the seamless transfer of every car. Our main goal is to ensure smooth order fulfilment and to answer all questions regarding car transportation to our internal and external stakeholders. We are the intermediary between branches and logistic centers, as well as between logistic centers and dealers. Our team is split up in two main areas. While the Dispatch Team mainly supports the branches and the logistic centers, the Transport Team focuses on structured communication with dealers and also with our logistics providers. Every move we make is carefully thought through. However, we are still able to react quickly to design creative solutions in case we’re facing a problem. Our team is very supportive - even in stressful times the team spirit is inexhaustible.

Quality Management Operations

Being part of our team means being dedicated to delivering an excellent buying experience to our dealers. With empathy, speed and passion we find a solution for every issue our dealers are facing. We are well connected with our international colleagues and are experts on all topics related to buying cars from AUTO1. We do our best to provide great after-sales support. While every day brings new challenges, we don’t miss out on celebrating our closed cases every Friday. We come from diverse backgrounds, but what unites us is the love for solving problems in a very effective but also creative manner. Happy dealer, happy us!

Business Development Operations

Others see the challenge in every opportunity, we see the opportunity in every challenge!

Development and streamlining of operational solutions are a major factor in improving our dealers’ experience when working with AUTO1, and is the main focus of our team. Our goal is to improve the company’s efficiency and to maximize the satisfaction of all our partners by designing and implementing smart IT solutions as well as developing innovative services and products. We are experts when it comes to the AUTO1 product and process landscape along the value chain and work closely with all other departments in the Berlin Headquarters. We are also a centralised point of contact for the local markets - for us as a team it is very important to analyze and understand local specifics and reflect them in the operational processes as well as the company’s KPIs. We are a mixed team coming from many different backgrounds, resulting in great cultural exchange. We’ve established our own rituals in the team - such as the “maroon colour day” or bringing in traditional food from our countries to share at our team lunch.

Debt Collection

There is no time like the present.

Our team is responsible for the collection of outstanding payments from our dealers. We take care of every individual case and make sure that we find the best solution. Whether account digits have been mixed up by accident or a payment got delayed in daily grind - our goal is to protect our dealers from additional fees and to ensure that the process runs as smoothly as possible. We are a mixed team, have a great sense of humor and are very cooperative and solution oriented.
