Head of B2B Car Trading (Remarketing)

The Head of Remarketing Europe will be responsible for growing and managing business partnerships in the automotive space (Dealers, OEMs, Rental) and further simplifying the B2B car selling experience for our partners. We are looking for a strong candidate with a proven track-record in developing and implementing sales channel strategies and extending business opportunities. Successful candidates will show a high level of personal dedication, business acumen and result-driven performance behavior.

What you will do

  • Formulate and execute the strategy and growth plan for AUTO1’s Remarketing business unit
  • Manage the business unit’s profit and loss statement as well as its economic performance
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators to measure effectiveness and efficiency
  • Cultivate relationships with existing partner dealers and identify new business opportunities for future growth
  • Identify ways to further improve the customer experience for our partner dealers and partner with internal teams to implement these improvements
  • Ensure recruitment, hiring and training of the AUTO1’s Remarketing team to successfully address the business’ requirements
  • Build out and be responsible for your own team including but not limited to conducting annual performance reviews as well as quarterly feedback talks
  • Communicate and work closely with other members of the leadership team and successfully build superior working relationships with Operations and Tech teams


What you should bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master‘s Degree from a top-tier university
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership position, ideally in the automotive, startup, management consulting or investment banking industry
  • Excellent sales, business development and time management skills
  • Ability to not only take ownership and work independently, but also to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail as well as outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with the ability to professionally represent AUTO1
  • You will be managing a Dutch team. Command of the Dutch language isn't a necessity, but it's a plus
